Maxwell Parker Mediation is a private and independent mediation practice, experienced in family, commercial, business, agricultural and workplace disputes.

Principal Mediator, Matthew Maxwell, has been a strong advocate of alternate dispute resolution pathways for over 15 years and has been as nationally accredited mediator since 2018. Prior to establishing Maxwell Parker Mediation, Matthew's career spanned 20 years within several of Australia's largest financial institutions, including senior roles as a turnaround and insolvency risk executive during the post-GFC era. Mediation has featured heavily in Matthew's work and he is well placed to assist businesses, directors, investors and financial service providers resolve disputes in a private and confidential manner.

BENEFITS OF MEDIATION

Mediation as an overarching framework is a flexible, time and cost effective way for parties to resolve disputes.
Unlike Court proceedings, mediation provides a private and confidential setting for parties to work through their dispute. Parties to the dispute are in control of the decisions they make.

The role of the mediator includes ensuring discussions are balanced and fair, that the underlying needs and concerns of the parties are explored, that options considered are realistic and achievable. Should an agreement be forthcoming, we can assist document the outcomes as required.

Our mediation and conflict resolution services are available throughout the Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Highlands regions. Our clients also extend to Sydney CBD and throughout the southern areas of regional NSW and the ACT.
Principal Mediator, Matthew Maxwell, is available Australia-wide upon request. Additional travel costs apply.

Based in Kiama, NSW, our office caters for regional-based client meetings and intake sessions. Conference rooms located at the Kiama Pavilion are utilised for mediations and group sessions. These large rooms include suitable break-out spaces, multiple entry and exits, and well-appointed facilities.

We also utilise a range of secure web-based platforms and teleconference facilities as required by our clients.

FEES
​
Your initial enquiry is free of charge. This enables you to consider the benefits and suitability of our numerous dispute resolution options, including formal mediation and private negotiations.
Mediation fees are payable in advance. Fees are typically shared 50/50 by parties, or as agreed.
​
Commercial mediation fees are quoted on a case-by-case basis, either on a daily or hourly basis. Complex matters or matters involving additional parties and legally assisted matters may attract additional fees. Travel (outside of region) and accomodation expenses (if required) to be met by parties.
A fee estimate can be provided once initial scope of mediation has been considered.
